What we do
The region, through a wine glass
Waves of Wine Tours is a Margaret River regional experience company. Wine is the main lens through which our guests discover the wider region: the food, the producers, the coastline and the people behind them.
Every wine region’s best examples sit in its boutique wineries and vineyards, but most visitors to Margaret River simply don’t know where to start looking. We do, and we take you there, without the intimidating cellar-door etiquette that puts people off asking questions.
We run two things well: small-group Daily Tours, and private charters built around one group.
How we choose a day
Our approach
Boutique over famous
We favour smaller, family-owned and independent producers. The aim isn’t to tick off names you already know. It is the right mix of quality wine and real hospitality.
Wine as the way in
Wine is the lens, not the whole picture. A day also takes in food, local produce, coastline and the stories behind them.
Educational, never formal
You’ll learn plenty, but nobody is being examined. No prior wine knowledge is needed, or assumed.
Social, not a party bus
Separate bookings share the day, and people connect. That’s a feature of the Daily Tour, not a side effect.
The guides
Hosts first, drivers second
Our guides are relaxed, knowledgeable hosts. They drive, they explain, and they keep the day flowing, making sure the group feels comfortable and included, and that nobody has to think about logistics.
Above all, we exist to take the difficulty out of planning a Margaret River day: no researching venues, no working out timings, no drawing straws over who drives.
